pride is a bitch it’ll get you every time regardless the situation or issue there were times that id still miss you i wasted time trying to fix you when all i had to do was listen it wasnt real til your bags were by the kitchen i thought it was fiction you felt all the friction called another cab cause our fight caused you to miss one then i called my pops and told him yeah i must be his son all i had to do was simply say I'm sorry not exactly in that moment but a few months just before it but i was snoring like a child i ignored it like a man i ignored now its time to move forward i try to find lessons in my losses rather have breakups than divorces dont wanna pay outta pocket child support and court costs plus i dont get too many offers i just thought id let you know

Remember going outside and doing things? That was fun. Maybe we can do that again some time. It was all good just a week ago/ when you think of it/was it really though? we was on the brink of it/sittin knee deep in snow/with a clown at the helm of a sinking ship/he wasn’t really thinking quick/but the was thinking though/ bout the folks that get him all his frickin dough/ he’s filthy rich/he’s stinking yo/while we sick and broke/sick and dying/we stuck at home/and he sucks at lying/ So what we gonna do?/Turn lemons into lemonade/…make something to drink and…find something to celebrate/Look for the silver lining/...and if the timing is right/I might just get out my rhyme book and I’ll get back to rhyming/ I'm not sayin that this shit ain’t stressful/Times are unprecedented it’s ok to be resentful/Take care and try not to bite the hand that’s tryna help you/it’s cool to be helpful...it's true It's like my brother said/...be grateful it could be worse/can’t go back to yesterday/this car don’t go in reverse/...Reset ya tempo/Let go of what you deserve/we can’t be thinking me first Maybe that’s the upside/that’s how we come outta this thing upright/some of us can loosen up, no need to be so uptight/...a man once said it’s cool to be wrong, just be kind/I’m thinking maybe he’s right/ So I’m a try to/show more patience/strive to be low maintenance/I’m a keep my promises/honestly/I’m just sayin/That this could be the moment/...it’s our onus to show up/ or another opportunity to blow it You know what? That’s a lotta pressure huh/I realized that’s a high bar for us to measure up/Nah we don’t need no more to stress us/take this time to count your blessings/hug ya kin and find some leisure/yeah

You & Me 04:00
Where do I turn when my fair weathered friends/bail in the end/oh this again/if you’re they motivation then on who can you depend/...to keep the ship movin when your motivation’s spent?/ I’m just tryna break the trends of my kinfolk/...my people got the bends yeah they been soaked/Under so my much pressure to survived/though we been dope/ to not pursue greatness is an insult/ So what you waiting for an invite/ this ain’t about me being wrong or you being right/Alright, maybe fair weathered isn’t fair/cuz it’s been years/and y’all been there/but I’m still tight/Like, there goes the passion/you can guess you know what happens/hit a few rough patches while on thin ice/ Right?/we was spose ta break records dropping records/...that’s still my plan I don’t write just cuz it feels nice Don’t sweat the chorus/y’all been my brothers in music since we was back in chorus/had our whole lives before us/Too focused on the trees maybe I can’t see the forest?/the purpose of life is to live it and live jouyous right?/ So what’s my beef/what I’m bitchin bout?/I guess I just got this itch for a different route/I remember sittin on your mother’s couch/trading bars back and forth/you were better so I thought/but it’s been a minute now/ Listen if there’s any whispers that this is a competition I just wanna take a second to address it/rather dismiss it/that is not what this is/...I’m confessing with the risk of being called divisive/ I hope you see through my bitching/that it’s love/I’m just wishing it was different/but it’s the way that it happened/it’s the way that we lived it/either way we got a story we can tell to our children man I’ll see y’all next week
